Rules and recommendations for advertising
Reklamombudsmannen (RO) and the Jury Reklamombudsmannens opinionsnämnd (RON) applies the ICC Advertising and Marketing Communications Code when reviewing advertising. The ICC Code is supplemented with The Framework for Responsible Environmental Marketing Communications. This framework sets forth general principles governing all marketing communications, and includes a separate section on environmental claims
In Sweden there are also specific criteria for gender discriminating advertising that complements article 2 regarding discrimination in the ICC Code.
