Reklamombudsmannen handles complaints about advertising and uses the guidance of the Advertising and Marketing Communication Practice from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) when reviewing advertising.
Reklamombudsmannen only handles complaints about advertising aimed at the Swedish market, and doesn't handle complaints about advertising that is not commercial – such as political or religious messages.
Anyone can file a complaint to Reklamombudsmannen. A complaint can't be anonymous, but the names of individuals is not published in the decisions.
